MATTHEW KUZMINSKI
Meet Matt Kuzminski, the Director of Island Swish Basketball and Head Men's Basketball Coach at Vancouver Island University. With over a decade of coaching experience and a deep understanding of the local basketball community, Matt is dedicated to developing the skills and character of young athletes.
In addition to his coaching role, Matt is also an educator in School District 68 and a proud graduate of Dover Bay Secondary. He has extensive playing experience, having competed at the University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University.
Holding a Master's Degree in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership, Matt is committed to using the power of sport to bring people together and build a strong, inclusive community. Under his leadership, Island Swish Basketball will provide a positive and challenging environment for players to reach their full potential.

SCOTT MARR
Meet Scott Marr, one of the Directors of Island Swish Basketball. As a graduate of Wellington Secondary, Scott has deep roots in the local basketball community and a passion for developing the skills of young athletes.
After completing his schooling, Scott went on to play for the University College of the Cariboo in Kamloops, now called Thompson Rivers, where he developed his skills as a player and leader. After completing his playing career, Scott stayed in Kamloops and became a coach at UCC. Scott has been a coach for the Vancouver Island University Men’s basketball team where he has been a part of sustained success since 2012.
Scott's commitment to the community extends beyond basketball, as he is also an owner of Drip Coffee|Social in Nanaimo. And his two sons Edwin and Henry will participate in the Island Swish Programs. With his wealth of experience and local ties, Scott brings a unique perspective and passion to the Island Swish Basketball program. He is dedicated to helping players reach their full potential both on and off the court.
